The Life of the Chinese Gold Farmer

Chinese gold farming, a mix between working and having fun. Although they have fun and enjoy their jobs of playing video games for money I found this a very sad lifestyle from my point of view. Harsh living conditions having to share a room with multiple people. Very little pay at about $0.30 per hour with only 3 days off each month. Although food and shelter is provided by the boss of these workshops, this minuscule amount of pay is only getting them by.
In these games players play for an estimate of 10 hours per day, with one main objective. Kill as many monsters in game to collect gold which can then be sold. These gold are being sold to Americans and Europeans through eBay or other online forums where the boss of these gaming workshop sells them to an online retailer for about $3.00 for every 100 gold. After recieving the gold the online retailer sells these golds for almost 7 times that amount at $20.00 for every 100. Making this a multi-million dollar industry consisting of only 100,000 workers.
These Chinese "gold farmers" hate the name of "gold farmers" the name being discriminative to them. And in game after hours and hours of playing to acquire gold online people who know their jobs will purposefully kill them making their job harder then it already is.
In all I give respect and props to these farmers they do what they enjoy for a living and although it's a hard way of earning money in total they make due with what they have.
